Keonjhar food poisoning toll now 5

The death toll in the incident of consumption of poisonous food at Dalimbapur village in Keonjhar district has gone up to five.

According to sources, four members of a family and five other labourers fell ill after eating cooked food on Sunday. They were first admitted to the Keonjhar District Headquarters Hospital, where one Saraswati Dehury (27) was declared dead.

Then, seven patients were shifted to the SCB Medical College Hospital, Cuttack on Tuesday as their conditions deteriorated. Out of them, four died at the SCB hospital. The conditions of five survivors are stable, said doctors.
