Join, strengthen 'India against Negativity'

Sunday, 31 August 2014 | ACHYUTA SAMANTA

A glorious history of 5,000 years and a cultural tradition of several centuries have made what India today is. Despite all the achievements, India seems to be falling apart because of evil designs of some people who have been trying to spread negativity across the country. In order to have a rich India, vibrant with youthfulness and a promise to look ahead, everyone should fight negativity and pessimism.

There is no doubt that several sections are working to retain the cohesiveness of the Indian society. People with impeccable integrity and values must join together to fight against negativity. A negative feeling always leads to pessimistic attitude. The issues of corruption, the growth of communal violence lead to the spread of negativity.  The devil is not as black as is painted. Everything is not lost. The social sectors must come forward and join hands to fight negativity.  It should be the duty of every human being to promote positivity and protest negativity.

There is no denying of the fact that discrimination against individuals, violence against women are there in every society all over the world. Everywhere, there are legislations to deal with these problems, but the legislations sometimes fail to protect the victims.  Here, negativity of feelings aggravates the situation. This leads to a cultural tyranny. To protect and help the victims of negativity, a common platform needs to be created to fight against the negativity.

It is found that sometimes society remains instrumental in changing behavioural modes which is seen as a bias in favour of male. Despite the arguments like relative powerlessness of women, limited ranges of employability of women, lack of support for weaker sex, it is found that women are far more advanced and, given scope, they could do lot better things. All they need is a positive behaviour and encouragement from everyone. For motivation for positive action by people and organisations and discouragement of the propagation of negativity of individuals and organisations, people should come forward in their efforts to work without any further delay. India against Negativity (IAN) with all its motivation and network with likeminded people, organisations and individuals can help minimise the propaganda of misinformation and character assassination.

It is true that the atmosphere of negativity sometimes gains prominence, but in the long run it can do more harm to a country. It is a big challenge to wipe out the feeling of negativity and turn it into a positive attitude. This is possible if the young people will be encouraged to protest any issue that works in destroying  the social fabric.

Development can be achieved by avoiding conflicts. Negative propaganda and malicious protests to turn the image of India or an organisation can never be called as a constructive work. It is always entangled with social prejudices. It helps in working for a huge negative growth. In the long run, the society and the people become victims of this negativity. It is a welcome step that India against Negativity has taken a vow to take up any cause for public good, dispelling the dark clouds created by negativity. Negativity can damage the nation’s image while positivity can boost the morale of the country. Hence, it will be a welcome step if India stands firm against the negativity.
