With the BJP State leaderships strongly resisting any pre-poll alliance with the Pyarimohan Mohapatra-led Odisha Jan Morcha (OJM), Mohapatra on Thursday alleged that Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik with the help of a section of BJP State leaders is hatching a conspiracy to prevent any such alliance.
“I am still hopeful of an alliance with the BJP. But a section of BJP leaders are keeping clandestine relations with Naveen Patnaik and trying their best to avoid any alliance to challenge the BJD,” Mohapatra told reporters here.
However, BJD vice-president and Minister Damodar Rout said, “It is the habit of Pyarimohan Mohapatra to level baseless allegations against the BJD.” BJP leader Biswa Bhuan Harichandan too denied any secret relations of the BJP with the BJD, adding that so far the BJP State leadership is against alliance with any party.
