Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan wants kids to be caring, hard-working and focused in their lives.

Addressing participants of the Round Square International Conference 2014 at Sanskar Valley School here on Monday, Aamir said, “I want kids to be hard-working, passionate and focused in their lives.”

Delegates, including students from 22 countries, belonging to five continents that are members of Round Square, took part in the meeting.

When asked about one of the most important qualities in life, Aamir said, “Caring is the most important thing that comprises everything, love, compassion among other things. It is a very important quality in life.”

While sharing his personal and professional life experiences, Mr Perfectionist Aamir Khan said, “I have also faced much failure after the success of my first movie. But, instead of losing my self confidence I decided to only work for my happiness and from then I commit myself to the work in which I feel contented. So I would suggest the students to only strive for an aim which they enjoy and feel satisfied.”

“If I would have backed-off after facing difficulties then I would have never reached where I am now,” elaborated Aamir encouraging the students to reach out to their dreams.

To a query, Aamir said one should not leave his/her dreams, no matter a person may have to compromise with the means to achieve it. Besides other subjects, educators should emphasise on promoting sports in the curriculum as it teaches a lot of things, especially how to work as a team, he said.

He also advised parents not to compare their children with anyone, as every child is special in his own way. Elaborating further, he said, “My mother played a very important role in moulding my personality. Whether it was my personal or professional decision my mother always stood by my side. I have learnt a lot from her.” He further said that parents should also be persistent towards their children’s goals. The actor also asked educators to make learning a fun exercise by encouraging students to ask questions so that they have clarity of concepts. He signed off giving the students best wishes for a bright future.
