I have always been experimental with my roles and Samarth’s character allows me to do that, says the renowned television and Bollywood actor Harsh Chhaya.
Notably, life Ok in association with Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms gears up for the launch of the biggest fiction show, Ajeeb Daastaan Hain Ye, for which Harsh visited Bhopal. Notably, Harsh is playing an important role in the serial and in an interaction with the media persons here on Monday he talked about the changing trends in television industry as well as his experimental role in the daily soap.
“Earlier we used to work for our audience, but today television industry is all about money making,” said Harsh. As Harsh talked about the show, he said, “Ajeeb Daastaan Hain Ye touches upon the secluded issue of infidelity. It highlights the tryst of a woman who is estranged by her husband and is made to break out of her inhibitions in quest of finding happiness for her loved ones.”
The story is about Shobha, who was happy and content in her own little world until she was left devastated after her politician husband Samarth. While trying to collect all pieces and settle, Shobha ends up meeting Vikram, a coffee shop owner who hires her as his assistant.
Speaking about his character Harsh says, “My character in the show is of a chauvinist husband who believes that a woman should stay in the confines of the house and not attain financial independence. Coming across as a strong, authoritative politician, he leaves his family in lurch because of his wrongdoings whereas his wife decides to take up a job and support their family.” But, after watching the show it will be revealed to the audience whether the role is negative or positive, he added.
Elated to visit Bhopal, Harsh says, “Bhopal is an amazing place and I am feeling happy to be visiting the city after a long time. I am looking forward to recieve support from all my Bhopali fans in this endeavor and hope they like me in this new role.” The show will be aired from October 7 onwards, Monday to Friday, 9:30 pm on life OK.
