The Haryana Government on Saturday constituted a high-powered purchase committee under the chairmanship of the State Finance Minister Capt Abhimanyu. All store purchases, valued above `30 lakh of the departments, would be decided by this high-powered purchase committee, said an official spokesperson.
He said that it would also decide all purchase cases valued above `50 lakh processed by Boards, Corporations and Federations. Spokesperson said that in case of power utilities, purchases valued above `10 crore and turn-key projects valued above `50 crore would be decided by this committee besides deciding all cases of rate contracts.
He said that the other members of this high powered purchase committee are Minister Social Justice and Empowerment, Women and Child Development and Welfare of Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes Departments Kavita Jain, Minister of State for Food and Supplies, Transport, Tourism and Hospitality Departments Karan Dev Kamboj.
Besides, Minister-in-Charge and Administrative Secretary of the concerned indenting Department, Principal Secretary Finance, Principal Secretary Industries, head of the concerned indenting Department, and Director, Supplies and Disposals were also appointed members of the committee.
