The Health Department will launch a special sanitation and hygiene drive under Kayakalp Yojana from Gandhi Jayanti on October 2. Under the drive, sanitation and hygiene works will be undertaken in all district hospitals, civil hospitals, community health centres, sub-health centres and about 49 Gram Arogya Kendras.
According to Principal Secretary Health Praveer Krishna, on October 2 also 540 new primary health centres and other buildings costing Rs 350 crore will be inaugurated. Besides, 500 new sub-health centres will also be opened. In addition, renovation of 500 maternity centres is also being started.
The same day, “Health Service Guarantee Scheme” of 18 health services will also be started. The scheme will be propagated as “Swasthya Sewaon Ki Haqdari-Hamari Jawabdari”. The scheme will be managed through incentives and discipline. Special service for diabetes, blood pressure, heart diseases, thallassemia and senior citizens is also being started.
Monitoring of Bal Shravan Yojana by Health Department Now, the Health Department will monitor Mukhyamantri Bal Shravan Yojana instead of Social Welfare Department. The scheme is being launched by Health Department from October 2.
On October 2, opening and inauguration will be undertaken in the morning by ministers and other public representatives. The programmes will be concluded in the form of Mamta Torch Processions in the presence of ministers and other public representatives.
