Chancellor and Governor Ram Naresh Yadav has directed vice-chancellors of all universities in the State to observe Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel’s birth anniversary on October 31, 2014 as National Unity Day. The Governor has directed to administer oath of National Unity to all professors and students of universities and hold various activities on priority highlighting contribution of Sardar Patel.
In the letter issued to vice-chancellors by Raj Bhavan, activities held in universities should be publicised for public awareness and their participation in development process. Directives have also been given to vice-chancellors to send action taken report in this regard.
