The State Government has taken elaborate measures to contain the spread of the seasonal diseases following outbreak jaundice, malaria and other seasonal disease at many places in the State.
Bilaspur Divisional Commissioner KDP Rao convened an emergency meeting of the senior officials here on Tuesday following reports that in many hilly terrains of rural areas people were getting infected with various seasonal diseases.
The Commissioner directed the officials to start work on a war footing to contain the spread of the seasonal diseases that were taking a toll on the people.
Among the prominent officials who attended the emergency meeting at Rao’s office included District Collector Siddharth Komal Singh Paradeshi, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the District Panchayat, Neeraj Basoda among others.
Even though there was no report from the division about any massive outbreak of jaundice, he said it was high time for the administration to put its heart and soul together to contain the spread of seasonal diseases.
