The district administration has assured the residents that the low voltage problems being encountered in their localities in the district would be solved within a month’s time.District Collector Amit Kataria called a meeting of the district officials to address the issue which was also attended by SP Abhishek Pathak and DFO Narendra Panday on Tuesday.
Kataria directed the officials to solve the low-voltage problem in the far flung places of the district such as Deobhog, Indagaon, Amalipadar, Gohrapadar and Mainpur within a month for which a Power Sub–station of newly established 133/32 KV capacity at Sadhauli, near district headquarters should be energised as soon as possible.
To this, Executive Engineer RU Vishwakarma of Chhattisgarh State Power Transmission Company ltd (CSPTCl) informed that towers are being erected to connect the Sadhauli Sub Station with Magarlod (Dhamtari).
He said a total of 107 towers have already been erected and only six towers were left to be erected to which the Sadhauli Sub-station would be connected and commissioned soon.
On the other hand, Executive Engineer Verma of Chhattisgarh State Power Distribution Company ltd (CSPDCl) at Gariyaband informed that Sub-stations 33/11 of Paragaon, Bindranavagarh, Dhavalpur, Mainpur, Indagaon, Amalipadar, Goharapadra and Deobhog of the district would be supplied power from Sadhauli power Sub-station. This will solve the low–voltage problem of the aforesaid areas, he said.
Verma also informed that currently power is being supplied to Gariyaband from Koma (Rajim) and only because of this, the far flung locations of the district had been facing low voltage problem.
He assured that low voltage problem would be solved soon after the Sadhauli Sub-station is powered by Magarlod (Dhamtari).
Kataria instructed the concerning officials to promptly discharge their duties and ensure the completion of the task in stipulated time to resolve the low voltage problem in the district.
