Fusion Music was the highlight during the Cultural Week celebration at DPS Bokaro on Wednesday. Inter-House Orchestra Competition in the ‘FUSION MUSIC’ category was held. The fusion created by the students enthralled the audience present. The fusion in the SUFI category ‘Dama Dam Mast Kalandar’ fascinated the audience and received maximum applause.
However the fusion music in Assamese Folk played by the group from the Jhelum House bagged the first prize. Chenab House won the second prize while the third prize was won by Jamuna House. The judges were JP Sinha, Bhaskar Ranjan Dey and Anjali Kumari.
Speaking on the occasion Dr. Hemlata S Mohan, Director and Principal of DPS Bokaro appreciated the students for showcasing their talent and stated that every student must try and reveal their talent in this kind of platform.
Meanwhile the Cultural week of DPS Bokaro, Sector V also began on Wednesday. Theme of the day was ‘Rupak Taal’. The team of Jamuna House was adjudged winner while Raavi House stood second and Jhelum House came third. The groups were judged by Indra Mohan Jha, Manoj Kumar Parira and Nimesh Rathore. The cultural week will continue till 1st of August.
