Frogery case: Chhote Mian absconding for four months

State president of a Muslim body Hifzur Rehman alias Chhote Mian is absconding for over four months in a forgery case. The police officials claim that they have been searching for him continuously; raided his premises several times in Bhopal, but to no avail.

Notably, a complaint of forgery was lodged against Rehman at Koh-e-Fiza police station of the city in September 2013 by the director of Iligraves Infratech Private limited – Miraj Wadood.

Wadood in his complaint alleged that Rehman had forcibly possessed six acres of land valued at Rs 30 crores on the basis of a forged power of attorney. The land in Koh e Fiza is aprt of Khasra number 52 that has the total land of 71.57 acres. A hotel is located on the one end of this land while rest of the land is open. Rehman had forged the documents showing his right on six acres of land from it.

On getting complaint the Koh-e-Fiza Police Station registered FIR against Rehman under sections 420, 467, 468, 471 and 34 of the IPC.

Since the registration of the complaint Rehman is on the run and police is looking for him. Till now the police have failed to find any traces of him.

According to the information available Rehman is continuously trying to get bail in the case, but from lower court to district court and high court till now he has failed to get the bail as both the courts have denied him bail in the case. Sources from the police informed that having failed to nab Rehman the police is now getting ready to announce reward for his arrest.
