The junior students of International Institute of Fashion Technology (IIFT) organised a massive farewell party for the senior batch at The Mark Hotel, here on Sunday. Along with the Farewell party, IIFT also organised a Fresher’s party at the same venue.
All the seniors and juniors had a lot of fun at the party. The senior batch students were seen in blue sarees in an elegant look and the juiniors wore the evening gowns and floor length faired anarkali suits. The juniors gave a warm welcome to all the seniors in a traditional manner.
During the farewell party, Director of IIFT Vishal Talreja, centre head Sapna Singh, Academy Head Sunita Singh and other faculty members were present. Notably, the students of IIFT MP Nagar branch and Koh-e-fiza branch jointly organised the party.
The event got underway with the welcome speech by Bhawna Jagwani who emphasized over the eight successful tears of IIFT in the city. She further threw light over how the students can choose a better career in designing after they pass out from the institute.
The event was followed with spell binding performances by the students. The performances began with the fusion of indo western dance. The dance was performed by Priya G Pandey, Richi Keshwani and Neha Bhargava. Further, a couple balloon dance competition was also held. Seven pairs were called upon to participate in the dance. Further, a Gujarati folk dance was presented by Karishma Takhtani and Preeti Bajaj. A paper dance competition was also held afterwards. Further, Miss Fresher was also organised. Under this competition, the juniors performed ramp walk and also appeared for the questionnaire as well.
Karishma Takhtani became the Miss Fresher of the year of IIFT. Further the event was followed with the mesmerizing performances like Punjabi folk dance and other dance performances. later, Miss IIFT was held under which Gur Simran won the crown. The event had a grand closure with the award ceremony under which the students received different awards and the titles.
The students had a blast at the party. There was a grand dance party and the students tapped their feet on fast tracks of Bollywood songs. Further, they also enjoyed a delightful variety of eatables and took the pleasure of being together.
