The State Government on Tuesday decided to devise modalities to implement the recommendations of the Dr Taradatt-led Taskforce on land and flat allotments made under the Discretionary Quota (DQ).
According to the decision taken at a meeting held under chairmanship of Chief Secretary GC Pati and attended law Secretary Mihir Ranjan Parida, the law department would formulate modalities in consultation with Advocate General Surya Prasad Mishra. The Taskforce has recommended the State Government to cancel all allotment of houses and plots made under DQ since January 1, 1995 by the Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA), Cuttack Development Authority (CDA) and the Odisha State Housing Board (OSHB).
“We met to discuss on fixing of modalities for implementation of the recommendations of the Taskforce report which has been accepted by the Cabinet. The law Department in consultation with the Advocate General will fix modalities soon,” Parida told reporters after the meeting.
