Doon University on Saturday entered into an MoU with Instruments Research and Development Establishment (IRDE), Dehradun to offer MSc Physics programme with specialisation in Optoelectronics from the next academic session.
Prof VK Jain, vice-chancellor of Doon University and Dr Arun Kumar Gupta, Director IRDE, signed the memorandum in the presence of Dr Negi, Director designate IRDE and Dr Juyal, former Director IRDE, Dr Nimesh Dixit, Scientist, IRDE, Dr BM Harbola, Registrar, Prof Kusum Arunachalam and Dr Vijay Sridhar of Doon University were present on this occasion.
Doon University students shall be able to use the research infrastructure and expertise of IRDE and the Scientists of IRDE will be able to enroll in the PhD programme of Doon University and participate in joint research programmes which wiil be held by the IRDE.
The programme will be offered under the aegis of School of Physical Sciences, Doon University. Both the institutions also agreed to set up lIDAR facility for monitoring of atmospheric constituents and pollutants.
