To monitor functioning of public distribution system (PDS), Anganwadi Centres, midday meals (MDM) in schools, sale of spurious liquors and contrabands, illegal lifting and transporting of miner minerals and health services delivery, district Collector Rupa Roshan Sahoo has constituted a squad.
The monitoring squad will conduct raids at places following media reports and public petitions. The squad will first verify the authenticity of the information before conducting the raid and will submit report to the district Collector within 24 hours. The monitoring cell will function under the direct supervision of the district Collector. All Sub-Collectors, Deputy Collectors, BDOs, Tehsildars, Assistant Tehsildars, Assistant Collectors, the Chief District Medical Officer, the Superintendent of Excise, the SSA Project Co-ordinator, the District Social Welfare Officer and the Civil Supply Officer will function as the members of the squad, with Deputy Collector Saroj Kumar Sahoo as the Nodal Officer.
