Development Commissioner Sudhir Prasad hold a meeting with private players related to drinking water supply in Ranchi. The piped water supply scheme for the city is to be undertaken on PPP mode and the selected company would be responsible to maintain and operate the system in place.
Operators coming from across the country participated in the meeting which also saw Deputy Mayor of Ranchi Sanjeev Vijayvargiya taking part in the meeting. Sudhir Prasad said that Government would bear 70 per cent of the expenditure coming while the private player would take care of the rest. The project would be for 10-15 years period. Survey work for the project is to be done which would be followed by a detained DPR.
