Jharkhand Police is preparing a database through specifically prepared Human Resource Management (HRM) Software enabling the department to sort out eligible policemen for specialized assignments and wings which, the department is planning to set up in future.
Police personnel till the rank of Inspectors need to upload information regarding their educational qualification and technical knowhow related to computer, Information Technology, Science and Mathematics as well as their knowledge related to Crime and Criminal Tracking Network & Systems (CCTNS) project being implemented in the State.
“We came up with the idea that why not give an option to police personnel themselves to fill up their details so that a quick date base could be prepared which could be used further for assigning specialized jobs to those who have a better idea of the field,” said IG (Provision) Anurag Gupta. “It may also help the department in future for raising special cadres in the police department,” he added.
According to Gupta, the data base is being prepared in order to make it more convenient for the State Police in selecting police personnel immediately with the help of the data base having all information regarding the person and their technical knowhow.
For uploading the information, one will have to log in to the link ess.jhpolice.gov.in available on the site of Jharkhand police – www.jhpolice.gov.in and fill up information regarding them.
As soon as a person clicks on the link, it asks his mobile number where one time password is received immediately, which is also mandatory to open the link. This has been done for security reasons to protect the link from unauthorized persons, said Gupta.
It is expected that the policemen should fill up the information till September 30 this year so that the department starts working on it as soon as possible.
Presently, there are vacancies for wireless wing of the state police which the government is trying to fill up on short term deputations. The interested policemen may fill up the form online.
