Cricket match organised to encourage young voters

District Administration has planned for some innovative ideas to increase the voting percentage in the coming parliamentary election and in this voters awareness spree to encourage the young new voters, a cricket match was organised on Sunday at CH +2 school’s playground between district administration team and young new voter’s team.

In a 15-15 over match young new voters’ team won the match by 59 runs. Chasing a big score of 206 runs district administration team struggled to 147 for nine. Winning toss, the new voter’s team has elected to bat and Rajesh Kumar struck 106 (not out) to steer his team to a respectable 206 for 9. While District administration’s team were all out for 147-9 and lost the match.

District team’s Vikas kumar scored 35,Alok Kumar 25 and Raja Ram Nirala 17 runs respectively. Rajesh Kumar was awarded man of the match for his score 206(not out). In the inaugural session of the match, all new young voters took oath to vote apart from caste and religion. Additional collector, Sunil Kumar SDO, ASP Naushad Alam, Dy S P Harilal Yadav, Prabhash kumar Dutta BDO Koderma, Atul kumar CO Koderma, Dr Pankaj Kumar and other officers  were there at the moment.
