Haryana Education Minister Geeta Bhukkal on Sunday said that the courses in Government Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) in the State have been designed so as to meet the needs of industry and turn out ready-for-industry students.
Speaking to media persons in Jhajjar, she said that the State Government has introduced employment-oriented courses. The courses had been started on demand-supply basis to boost employment opportunities for the students in the present-day employment scenario. Placement cells have been constituted in all ITIs to guide the students in making career options.
ITIs for women have also been set up in the State to enable the girls to hone their skills. Also, the number of seats in ITIs has been increased.The State Government has also signed agreements with many reputed companies to enable ITI products to get better employment opportunities. These companies have been providing employment to the students through placement cells on the completion of courses, she said.
Bhukkal said that Haryana had become number one State in the country in terms of development. Haryana Social Justice and Empowerment Department has implemented a slew of welfare schemes for the benefit of the common people, she added.
