Continuing its tirade against Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the State Congress alleged that the accused in infamous MP Professional Examination Board (MPPEB) mega scam Shyamsundar Sharma who is also incompetent for the post has been rewarded by getting nominated as chairman Cooperative Bank of Vidisha for mediating to strike deal between Chief Minister and jailed former Minister laxmikant Sharma.
Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) chief spokesman KK Mishra while addressing media persons here on Thursday at party’ state headquarters said, “The mystery over nomination of Shyamsundar Sharma as the chairman Cooperative Bank of Vidisha has started unveiling, Shyamsundar who is accused in the MPPEB scam is also incompetent for the post has been rewarded because he successfully struck a deal between the chief minister and jailed former minister laxmikant Sharma.
As per the deal the former minister would not reveal the name of chief minister’s wife Sadhna Singh in the scam and in return the chief minister would help him in getting his case weakened by the STF in such a manner that he could get acquitted.”
Mishra further said that despite being incompetent and accused in MPPEB mega scam Shyamsundar became the chairman due to this deal. Visitor registers of central jail Bhopal and chief minister residence could be checked for verifying the allegations that Shyamsundar was doing mediation between the chief minister and his jailed former minister, he added.
He said that Shyamsundar who is also father in law of laxmikant Sharma first convince him to keep mum over involvement of Sadhna Singh in scam and in return he would get her agree to weaken his (laxmikant’s) case. He struck the deal successfully and in return was awarded with the nomination on the post of chairman of Cooperative Bank of Vidisha, he added.
