Commercial taxes Dept expands e-facilities for traders

The Commercial Taxes Department has expanded e-facilities being given to businessmen. Now, MPVAT PUBlIC mobile application has been launched through which businessmen can download Form-49 also. Any TIN can be verified through mobile. Besides, status of pending applications can also be known. The mobile application MPVAT PUBlIC is available free in Google Play.

Facility of digitally signed e-return has also been given. As a result of this facility, businessmen need not submit return verification form-10A by visiting office, barring certain circumstances. Businessmen can verify status of return filing and composition trough link https://mptax.mp.gov.in/mpatweb/dealer profile.do. Now, businessmen can also verify TIN of any businessman through SMS. For this, SMS has to be sent in MPCT<TIN> format. On sending SMS to 56161, information about TIN is received.

Businessmen have now been given facility to see dealer profile in login which carries complete information about dealer. It includes information regarding use of declaration, status of legal downloaded forms, tax deposit, return filing etc. Now, verification of businessmen’s declaration form-49 and legal forms can be verified from departmental website. Form-50 for importing goods to Madhya Pradesh can also be filled up and downloaded from this website. Besides, facility of challan print for depositing tax has been given by departmental website’s link Tax payment>challan Generation.
