The Koraput District Congress Committee led by president Minakshi Bahinpati staged a demonstration at the Collectorate here demanding Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s resignation over chit fund scam and criminal proceedings against him.
The Congress members alleged that without the Chief Minister’s involvement, a mega scam like chit fund could never have taken place. They demanded that the CBI also grill Patnaik besides discussion on chit fund issue in the Assembly.
Among others, Binod Mohapatra, Ajit Samantray, Nori Mohanty , Sudhir Sadangi, Nihar Bisoyi, Sukant Pattanaik, Basant Nayak, Siba Pattanaik, Ram Padhi, Ramesh Patra, Rupak Turuk, Ranjeet Sharma, Pramod Nag, Goura Patra, Ashok Gantayat and Ani Patnaik were present.
