Chief Minister Raman Singh on Sunday joined the Cheti Chand celebrations in the city and flagged off the procession from Jai Stambh Chowk. Singh gave a floral welcome to the procession which was organised by the Chhattisgarh Sindhi Panchayat and gave his greetings to the people of the Sindhi community.
He said that the festival of Cheti Chand adds to the cultural heritage of the state. He also greeted the people for Gudi Padwa and Chaitra Navratri. Also present on the occasion was Agriculture Minister Brijmohan Agrawal, MlA Shrichand Sundarani, Director of State Minorities Commission Dilip Singh Hora and other dignitaries.
