Chief Minister Raman Singh inaugurated the Wi-Fi zone at Telibandha and dedicated the Recreation Park Wonderland at Indrapastha Housing Scheme here on Thursday.
The Chief Minister also performed Bhumi Pujan of the second phase of Indrapastha Housing Scheme.
Addressing the people at Telibandha pond locaility, Singh said that the entire Telibandha area is connected with Wi-Fi facility.
The Raipur Municipal Corporation (RMC) has done beautification of the pond for Rs6.04 crores which includes RCC retaining poles, pathway, boundary wall, RCC drain, landscaping, grill, lighting, fountain etc.
Singh then moved to Naraiya pond which has been conserved and beautified.
He said that the view of pond is very nice and will soon become popular among people to spend their time in morning and evening.
The RMC has spent Rs 2.80 crores for conservation and beautification of Naraiya pond. This includes construction of curve wall, retaining wall, ghat, road, pipeline and bore-well, bridge, water harvesting, landscaping, tree plantation around the pond, bicycle stand, lighting, boat house and platform, sculpture and wall painting, construction of nullah around the pond, fencing, watchman quarter, etc.
Singh then performed Bhumi Pujan for the second phase of Indrapastha Housing scheme to be developed in 131 acres of land for Rs125 crores. He also dedicated the recreation park Wonderland near Indraprastha.
He said that the park adjacent to Kharun river will be a major attraction for people of Chhattisgarh. Raipur is developing as a Mahanagar and the park will give it a new identity. He said that this will be a good place to visit with family. The Chief Minister later also inaugurated the international standard swimming pool constructed at a cost of Rs12.65 crore.
He congratulated Raipur Development Authority for completing the work in time.
PWD Minister Rajesh Munat, Agriculture Minister Brijmohan Agrawal, UAD Minister Amar Agrawal, MP Ramesh Bais, Mayor Krinamayi Nayak and others were present during these programmes.
