Governor Ram Naresh Yadav, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, leader of Opposition in State assembly Satyadev Katare, Assembly Speaker Sitasharan Sharma and other leaders of the State have extended greetings and good wishes to the State’s people on Gudi Padwa and Cheiti Chand.
Governor Ram Naresh Yadav has extended greetings of Gudi Padva and Cheti Chand to state’s people. He has urged to observe the festivals with traditional brotherhood, harmony and enthusiasm.The Governor said that as per Indian tradition, Gudi Padva and Cheti Chand are new year festivals.The festival starting from Indian month Chaitra is also celebrated as Nav Samvatsar. On the occasion, the Governor has appealed to people to play active role in ensuring happiness and prosperity of people and state’s progress and development.
Assembly speaker Sharma in his message, said, “Our country boasts of the tradition of celebrating all the festivals with fraternity, harmony and enthusiasm.”He said festivals like Gudi Padwa and Cheiti Chand motivate people to move towards prosperity and development.Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has greeted people of the State on Gudi Padwa, beginning of Navratra and Cheti Chand.
In his greeting message, Chouhan wished that may these festivals bring about happiness and prosperity in the lives of State’s people.He said that India boasts or rich tradition of celebrating festivals with social harmony. He hoped that people of the state will celebrate the festivals in keeping with the glorious tradition of harmony and brotherhood.
leader of Opposition in the State assembly Satyadev Katare in his message on the occasion said, “Indian culture has the tradition of celebrating festivals with brotherhood, unity, harmony and zeal, we need to make this tradition permanent.”
BJP state president and MP Narendra Singh Tomar and organisational general secretary Arvind Menon said that Gudi Padwa and Chetti Chand festivals give the lesson of marching towards new expectations and development.They wished prosperity, peace and happiness for the people of the State.
