Women participated with enthusiasm in a ‘Cleanliness Quiz’ organised during the district-level Grievances Redressal Camp at Garudol village of Manendragarh Development Block of Baikunthpur district.
MlA Champadevi Pavle and Collector S Prakash administered oath to people for maintaining cleanliness on the occasion.
The quiz was organised by the district administration as a part of the ‘Swachch Bharat Abhiyan’ in which questions related to general hygiene and sanitation were asked to the participants. MlA Champadevi Pavle distributed prizes among the winners of the quiz including Sonwati, Rambai, Sonmati, Jeevanlal and others.
Pavle congratulated the winners and said that such quiz and programmes will help in creating awareness among people regarding cleanliness.
She said that toilets should be constructed in each household for complete sanitation. Collector S Prakash asked the villagers to follow word by word the pledge taken by them.
Chairman of Manendragarh Janpad Panchayat Hansraj, Superintendent of Police BS Dhruv, CEO of Zila Panchayat Sanjeev Jha, SDO (revenue) Mansingh Thakur besides Sarpanch of Garudol gram panchayat and a large number of villagers were present on the occasion.
