With the announcement of civic bodies elections in the State, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) also announced the meeting dates of the recommendation and selection committees at various levels.
BJP State general secretary Vinod Gotiya in a statement here on Tuesday informed that to provide momentum to the candidate selection process, the State leadership has announced the programme of recommendation committees up to Mandal level. “The meeting of the recommendation committees at those places that would go for Municipal Corporations elections would be held simultaneously on January 2, 2015. The meeting of the district selection committee would be held on January 3, which would consider on the panel of names of candidates recommended by the Mandal recommendation committee for the post of Corporators.”
Gotiya said recommendation committees have been told to forward a panel of minimum three names. later the meeting of the divisional selection committees would be held on January 4. All the divisional committees would announce the candidates for the post of Corporators on January 4, after the meeting, he added. He said divisional committees would forward the names of candidates for the post of mayor to the state selection committee.
