Chief Secretary Sajal Chakraverty on Tuesday held a meeting on preparations for Republic Day. The meeting was attended by principal secretaries and secretaries of all departments. CS suggested officials of Arts, Culture, Sports and Youth Affairs to organise a cultural programme on the eve of Republic Day and invite officials of State Government as well as Army officers.
Chakraverty directed officials to organise prabhat-pheri at Dumka and Ranchi with the help of students of Class-VI and above. The CS stressed upon better arrangements for people and also instructed officials to ensure proper safety arrangements at the venue. Chakraverty also reviewed Republic Day preparations made by district administrations across the State. Additional CS, NN Pandey informed that a subject tableau will be displayed at Dumka and Ranchi during the celebration.
