Chief Secretary RS Sharma has said that the integrated check posts should be technology driven and DTOs should be accountable for the proper running of transport Department. Sharma was speaking during a meeting related to revenue collection during 2012-2013 held on Thursday with Finance Department at Project Building.
He said that there should be a system through which anybody sitting at the check post should be able to verify the permit details.
He suggested that the higher agencies for printing and dispatching certificate case of to defaulters in transport.
He stressed on controlling the leakage point in the system. He also directed the mining department to start automated chalan system by February 1.
Sharma called E-Stamping as an essential proof for the purchase of paper so that the stamp is not reused which will help in checking forgery.
The meeting was attended by the Principal Secretary Revenue & land Reforms department JB Tubid, Finance Secretary AP Singh, Commercial Taxes Secretary MR Meena, and Registration Department Secretary Satender Singh along with other officials.
