Taking a dig at the ongoing tug of war on drugs issue, Punjab BJP vice-president Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina on Tuesday asked the State Government to “be serious” on the issue. He demanded special surveys of the areas affected badly by drugs, saying that the problem was widespread and affecting every one, and political parties must rise above the petty politics and raise the pitch against the menace.
“We are planning to start the campaign that will aim the urban and rural areas to create awareness about drugs menace in the state,” he said, adding that party national president Amit Shah is arriving in Amritsar next week to launch such a drive.
