On the occasion of the 12th Sradhanjali Diwas of Swami Harihar Ram, founder of the Nehru Seva Sangh, the Harihar Ram Seva-Ratna award was presented to noted social activist Padma Charan Nayak here on Monday.
State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities (PWD) Kasturi Mohapatra awarded Nayak with a silver memento, shawl and citation. Paying rich tribute to Harihar, noted writer and former Principal of the Puri SCS Collage Prof Jitendra Narayan Dash, popularly known as Dash Behnur, said that humanity is the only path to convert a person into a Santh.
Among others, former Minister and writer Dr Debendranath Mansingh, NSS secretary Sarojini Dash, treasurer Omprakash Agrawal, social worker Padma Nayak and Dr Surendranath Patra spoke.
Besides, dramatists Sarbeswar Sarangi and Maheswar Jena were felicitated for there outstanding contribution at event, held under the chairmanship of Sangh vice-president Manoj Kumar Agrawal.
