As many as 1.20 crore pages of about 2.5 lakh files of 17 departments located at the Chhattisgarh State Secretariat have been fully scanned and uploaded online.
The ‘Digital Secretariat’ of the Chhattisgarh government has started functioning and thereby, now, has completely eliminated the manual processes in these departments. The application of the project is being hosted from the State Data Centre in Raipur.
This was disclosed by Principal Secretary, Information Technology, Chhattisgarh government, Aman Kumar Singh in a workshop chaired by Additional Chief Secretary, Finance, Chhattisgarh government, DS Mishra here on Monday.
The one-day workshop for renewal of National Mission Mode Projects (NMMP) and to create awareness was organized by Chhattisgarh Infotech and Biotech Promotion Society (CHiPS) and Chhattisgarh Administrative Academy in association with Centre for Innovation in Public System (CIPS).
Additional Chief Secretary, Finance, DS Mishra in his address said that as many as 571 websites are constructed per minute across the globe. "We have to keep abreast in the fast changing era of technology and adopt IT in governance. It will not only simplify the official works but also multiply the benefits,' said Mishra, adding, that the e-Tax system has increased the tax collection manifold.
Principal Secretary, Information Technology, Aman Kumar Singh informed the participants about a ‘Dash Board’ to be operated by the Chief Minister's Secretariat to facilitate the Chief Minister in monitoring major projects and schemes of the State. The project will become operational within 10 days. CEO of e-Governance India limited (New Delhi) Dr Dinesh Tyagi explained about rural choice scheme offering services in the field of insurance, banking, education etc.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of CHiPS Saurabh Kumar proposed a vote of thanks and gave a presentation on Dash Board project.
A number of IT experts from different parts of the country participated in the workshop. Dr A Anand of RRSSC Nagpur, Principal Secretary,Health, Government of Chhattisgarh, Dr Alok Shukla, and others were present on the occasion.
