The Central Empowered Committee (CEC) enquiring Sarada iron ore mines in Keonjhar district will visit Odisha on March 4.
The CEC is scheduled to go for field inspection on March 5 and to hold discussions with the concerned State Govt officials on the mines the next day, official sources said on Wednesday. The CEC’s visit assumes significance in view of serious allegations that Jindals who effectively run the Sarada mines have violated the existing forest and mining rules and norms without attracting the punitive measures.
