Art neither has colour nor ideologies yet it pervades all spheres. It is this quality of art that makes it the favourite medium for the politicians to reach out their voters and make appeal to help them win the election. It is evident once again during the upcoming general election in Jharkhand. The state budding singers are busy in composing catchy songs for the candidates irrespective of their party title.
Jharkhand’s singing sensation Rohan Deo Pathak who had recently composed a ringtone for Narendra Modi which was launched by yoga guru Baba Ramdev during Patang Mahotsav a couple of months ago is now composing parody for Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (JVM) candidate Amitabh Choudhary.
‘Jago Matdata ab toh jago, ab Karna na aaram, aaya ek insan uska Amitabh Chaodhary hai naam, jo layega badlao’ … (Wake up voters now you wake up, no more rest, there comes Amitabh Choudhary to bring change) is the campaign song composed by him. The song is gaining enough popularity among the city denizens.
Responding to the query why he composed song for JVM candidate when in past had render the same service for BJP he said, “I am an artist and not any party supporter. My job is to deliver my art in the best way whoever approaches me and I am doing exactly the same.”
He further added, “I like Amitabh Choudhary for his remarkable contribution in the bringing international stadium in state capital and feel myself privilege to be a part of his campaign. I perform my job unbiased and will continue it.”
Besides, sharing information regarding his upcoming project Pathak added he is going to compose a couple of campaigning songs for the JVM candidate in the upcoming days.
like Pathak, Mitali Gosh another heart robe singer of state is also busy in composing catchy songs for different political party.
“I have already composed songs for Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP), Congress and All Jharkhand Students Union (AJSU) and right now recording for few independent candidates. We artist worship our talent and never get bias for the same,” added Gosh.
Interestingly, the politicians believe that the catchy song achieves that what a charged, powerful political speech cannot.
JVM spokesperson Saroj Singh said, “Theater has always been an integral part of our political history. It is the best way to reach out the voter’s heart.
We have heard his compositions and it is marvelous. He is popular among the people so we chose him.”
