The Sahadevkhunta police on Wednesday arrested a retired constable on the charge of forging court documents. According to police, Balabhadra Parida (60) of Sahadevkhunta had forged a recall order of a local court to rescue his 32-year-old son Pankaj, a history-sheeter.
The court had issued a non-bailable warrant (NBW) against Pankaj after as he didn’t appear in the court during trial of a case.
While the police had conducted several raids to nab Pankaj, Balabhadra in connivance with the bench clerk managed to get a recall order from the concerned court and handed over the same to the police on October 19.
While the police approached the court with the NBW order and the recall order, it was found that the recall order was fake one. “Accused Balabhadra has been arrested and court-forwared. The role of bench clerk was also verified,” said Sahadevkhunta PS IIC Paresh Rout.
