BSD chief faces people's jury in Daltonganj

Friday, 31 October 2014 | PNS | DALTONGANJ

The president of Bhartiya Suraaj Dal (BSD) P K Siddharth faced  a volley of questions from the members of the independent people’s jury who sat in the banquet hall of a posh hotel here on October 28 and lobbed questions after questions at this former IPS officer Siddharth who responded to each of the questions with ease and confidence.

Sources said there was no confusion at all at any stage that this former IPS officer and now president of BSD would be able to satisfy the jury members as to why he had set his eyes to contest the coming assembly election from Palamu district.

The people’s jury hailing his intention recommended his name for allowing him to contest the assembly election said a senior social activist and a veteran journalist G Basant the convener of the BDS. According to Basant commoners too posed queries to the IPS officer.

The people’s jury comprised former professors, doctor, lawyer etc. Insiders in the BDS hinted at Siddharth contesting his life’s maiden election from Daltonganj assembly constituency where in the early nineties he was the SP Palamu.

Siddharth has set an example at such a time when IPS officers like laxaman Pd Singh and Sheetal Oraon and IAS officer J B Tubid leaving government jobs have joined mainstream politics while this man faces people’s jury, answering its questions and makes honest commitment to bring in a fresh lease of development in Palamu.    .

Putting his fingers on the malaise of Palamu Siddharth’s priority is to manage rain water. He wants irrigational facilities to be toned up and this can be done when rain water of a village is retained and detained there in the village itself.

As for unemployment his dream is big like setting up of a Sampurna Rozgar Nidaan Kendra where he desires to pool in MlA’s fiscal quota.
