The Sadar police late on Wednesday night nabbed three dacoits while they were planning crime in an abandoned house at Technocity on the lochapada-Gandala road.
Acting on a tip-off, the police raided the abandoned house and arrested the three dacoits while they along with four of their associates were preparing blueprints to commit loot.
Five live bullets, a sword, two mousers and two magazines were seized from their possession. However, four other dacoits managed to flee from the spot.
Three arrested persons were identified as Pradip Kumar Sethi and Yogendra Sethi of village Sana Kusasthali and Titu Gouda of village lathi.
Those who managed to escape include Siba Sethi of Badakusasthali, Kalia Reddy of Sanakusasthalli, Burunda Maharana of lathi, and another whose identity was yet to be ascertained, said Sadar SDPO Harihara Pani.Several cases are pending against these accused in different police stations, sources said.
