The members of Bhartiya Janta Yuva Morcha (BJYM) organised a massive protest outside the office of Regional Transport Office (RTO) here on Wednesday and demanded stern action against the city bus operators. The BJYM members were irked over the rampaging city buses which are causing accidents on the roads of the city.
The members of BJYM arrived at the RTO office in morning and raised slogans against the RTO for failing to act against the city buses which are openly flouting the rules.
later the RTO Dinesh Chandra Pathoi called the demonstrators for talks. The BJYM leader Rajendra Dhillon told the RTO that the city bus drivers have run amok due to which the incidents of people being hit them has increased. He blamed the transport department for ignoring the violation of traffic rules by the city buses and demanded that speed governing devices should be installed in all the city buses.
The delegation also demanded that complete data of all the city bus drivers and Conductors should be compulsorily maintained at the RTO office so that they could be traced after any accident.
