BJP Govt won't allow exploitation of coal: Modi

The election campaign of the BJP in Kolhan division reached its crescendo with Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressing a mega rally here at Gopal Maidan on Saturday.

Addressing a crowd of more than 25,000 people, Modi said that his Government will not allow anyone to loot and exploit coal in Jharkhand. He expressed concerns that the previous Governments were involved in exploiting natural resources. 

Modi clad in white kurta and paijama started his speech at 11:39 am. After making a successful connect with the people of Chaibasa, the Prime Minister was at his best to woo voters of Steel City. He started his speech on a lighter note saying, “last time when I came here, the ground was half-empty but we still managed to win elections. Now it is all filled up.” He assured that the people he will return their love with interest. This time the venue is full, so hope for the same results.

“let me assure the people here that the new policies on coal will not allow anyone to loot coal in Jharkhand. It will help the State to get over `20,000 crore in the next few years which will make it self-sufficient and a prosperous State,” Modi declared addressing people of Steel City. He said that the people need to understand the importance of the ongoing elections in Jharkhand. The Prime Minister also lambasted Congress for spreading lies about his government and said that the party has not learnt any lessons even after they were completely rejected by people in lok Sabha elections.

Modi said, “the people of this country have rejected dynastic politics. Just imagine, you have punished them so severely that they couldn’t even get the post of leader of Opposition. Yet they haven’t learned any lesson. They are talking in the same tone. This is because they feel that they are born to govern.” Stressing on the need to give a majority Government in the State, he said that the future of next 100 years of Jharkhand will be decided in these five years. He also noted that a strong Government in the State will ensure better utilisation of Central funds and pave way for better tomorrow.

The Prime Minister also appealed to the Jharkhand electorate to end dynastic politics similar on the lines of lok Sabha polls. “I would like to thank the people for clear mandate in lok Sabha election, after 30 years, India has become important for the world. On Similar lines we want to develop Jharkhand to make a leading State,” said Modi adding that the party is committed to the overall development of Jharkhand, bring it to power in state with absolute majority.

He said that Jamshedpur is like ‘ Mini India’ and people from across the country live here. It needs a strong Government so that it can lead the nation towards development. “We want to make Jharkhand pride of India. It has the potential to provide employment to the youth of the country. We want to develop the State as hub opportunities,” said Modi appealing the people to give a majority Government.

The second phase polling for 20 seats will be held on December 2 in Baharagora, Ghatshila (ST), Potka (ST), Jugsalai (SC), Jamshedpur East, Jamshedpur West, Seraikella (ST), Chaibasa (ST), Majhgaon (ST), Jaganathpur (ST), Manoharpur (ST), Chakradharpur (ST), Kharsawan (ST), Tamar (ST), Torpa (ST), Khunti (ST), Mandar (ST), Sisai (ST), Simdega (ST), and Kolebira (ST).

Senior BJP leaders former CM Arjun Munda,  National vice president, Raghubar Das, BJP candidate Saryu Roy were among those present.
