BHEl inaugurates lPG Fired Heat Furnace

In a simple function held on Thursday at Foundry Division BHEl Bhopal, SR Prasad, Executive Director BHEl, Bhopal inaugurated the new ‘lPG Fired Heat Treatment Furnace’.

Prasad speaking on this occasion appreciated the efforts put in by the team of Modernisation and Foundry division in completing the work, which will be helpful in achieving better quality of job output.

Equipped with highly reliable and user friendly Siemens make PlC and HMI, the furnace control system is the most modern facility having a load capacity of 12 T and a maximum operating temperature of 1150 degree Celsius. It also has State of the art Data logging feature to record the temperature cycle of the process. The furnace will be used for the annealing and normalisation of steel casting and Stress Relieving (SR) of Gray cast iron Casting. This facility will increase the processing capacity of the foundry division.

TG Chauragade GM (MOD), M Halder GM (Feeders), AK Bhattacharya, GM (Fabrication), Raimon Minj GM (WEX) and other senior officers were also present on this occasion.

Meanwhile, on the occasion of production target completion by the end of financial year, sweets are presented to the employees every year. This year also distribution of sweets to the employees, contract labour and labour employed under works contract will be made. Sweets will be distributed as is done every year and no cuts in distribution of sweets have been made. According to the decision taken, the distribution of sweets to the external agencies however is to be done on requirement basis.
