Spell-binding bhajan compositions took the hearts away at a bhajan concert held here on Wednesday.
A Bhajan programme Bhajan Nirjhani was organised on Wednesday at BHEl Cultural Auditorium leaving the audience mesmerized. Sharma Bandhu aka Sharma Brothers presented the bhajans before the music lovers of the city.
The four Indian classical vocalist brothers, who perform bhajan and Hindu devotional music consists of the Pandit Gopal Sharma, Pandit Shukdev Sharma, Pandit Kaushalendra Sharma and Pandit Raghavendra Sharma. They are renowned for their compositions and wonderful singing style. The elegancy that they maintain in their singing style is the makes their composition even more interesting to listen to.
The SSharma Bandhu began their performance with Ganesh Vandana. The audience listened to them with rapt attention as they were singing on stage. After Ganesh Vandana, they performed the Mira Bhajan, Kabir Bhajan, Tulsidas, and Surdas. later, they performed their compositions as well. As they began their performance the audiences were lost in the spiritual world.
The four real brothers Pt. Gopal Sharma, Shukdev Sharma, Kaushlendra Sharma and Reghvendra Sharma owe their tremendous popularity to an integrated style of presentation based on a Fine Blend of Indian Classical and Modern Music. The best part of their Bhajan and Ram Katha Singing is the interspersing of it with heart touching commentary. They bring with them the rich tradition of Ram Darbar Music inherited from their father late Pt. Ramanand Sharma.
The Sharma Bandhu were accompanied by Vidhyadhar Apte on flute, Abhishek Singh on Harmonium, Aatish Upadhyay on Tabla, Akhilesh Singh on Dholak and Harish Sharma.
The Sharma Bandhu spread their charm among the spiritual music lovers of the city as they gave splendid performance before them.
