Congress workers and leaders on Saturday staged a demonstration in front of the district Collectorate here demanding Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s resignation over the chit fund and coal scams. Earlier, over a thousand activists took out a rally shouting slogan “Har gali mein sor hei, Naveen Government chor hei. They also burnt an effigy of the Chief Minister on the occasion.
Party leaders like former Bargarh MlA Sadhu Nepak, former Bhatli MlA Prakash Chandra Debta, former Padampur MlA Satya Sahu, former Attabira MlA Nihar Mohananda, District Congress president Ananta Padhee, District Youth Congress Nipan Das and Gauntia Sahu were present. later, they submitted a memorandum to the district Collector in support of their demand.
