The Bike Festival of India — National Safety Ride on Monday reached its final destination and the biking hub of the country — Chandigarh.
The event is a cross-country expedition undertaken to promote responsible biking and the use of helmets while driving two wheelers. The BFI-National Safety Ride is an initiative under the ambit of South Asia’s largest bike festival, the Bike Festival of India (BFI). Now, a mega Bike Festival will take the riders to an international platform on October 4 and 5 at the Buddh International Circuit, Greater Noida.
India’s cricket legend and bike aficionado, Mahendra Singh Dhoni is the face of the Bike Festival of India. In this festival for the first time, MS Dhoni’s fans and biking enthusiasts get to see Dhoni’s HEllCAT Confederate X132 — the only model owned by an Asian and his range of bike collections. The two-day one of its kind festival would bring together biking, adventure, sports and music... all at the most coveted Buddh Circuit, Greater Noida — the mecca of motorsport.
On Monday, at the Triumph Dealership in Chandigarh, riders hosted a meet with all the biking enthusiasts and encouraged them to join South Asia’s largest biking extravaganza Bike Festival of India. They also had a special bookmyshow kiosk for
biking lovers in Chandigarh to get passes for the festival at Buddh International Circuit, Greater Noida.
Vikram Shankar and Ikjot Singh, conveners of BFI, “Through National Safety ride, we not only created awareness on safe biking but also get an opportunity to engage with bikers across the country thus building our community and gearing them up for the mega bike festival, which will take them to an international platform on October 4 and 5 at the Buddh International Circuit.”

The BFI National Safety Ride was flagged off by Indian cricketer Ishant Sharma in New Delhi on August 3, which now finally comes to an end as riders will be back in New Delhi tomorrow completing 8,170 km. Riders mapped each state of India educating people on responsible biking. In each city, riders stopped in to visit iconic locations, while interacting with biker communities and encouraged safe biking, especially by wearing helmets.
