Bajrang Dal members shout slogans against UP Govt

Thursday, 31 July 2014 | PNS | DEHRADUN

Accusing Samajwadi Party led Uttar Pradesh Government of appeasing Muslims, members of Bajrang Dal carried out a symbolic funeral procession of Uttar Pradesh Government and burnt the UP Government in effigy at the Clock Tower in Dehradun on Wednesday.

The protesters assembled outside the Gandhi Park and took out a symbolic funeral procession of UP Government upto Clock Tower and shouted slogans. They reached the Clock Tower and burnt the UP government in effigy while raising slogans against  the UP Government.

Bajrang Dal district convener Amit Tomar alleged that the UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and his cabinet ministers are giving importance to a particular community and by doing this, they are promoting disorder in the state. In recent Saharanpur riots, three persons were killed and large number of shops owned by members of Hindu and Sikh communities were burnt by members of a minority community. He demanded fair and independent inquiry over this incident and stringent action as per the law against those found guilty.

He alleged that innocent persons from Hindu and Sikh communities are being booked under stringent sections of IPC and are being put behind the bars. India is a peaceful country but SP led UP government is responsible for creating disorders, disharmony and law and order problems in the state.

Bajrang Dal will intensify its protest unless government create harmonious atmosphere in the region without delay. Among those present on the occasion were CP Sharma, Sachin Sharma, Yogesh, Santosh, Sahil Yadav, Rohit, Sandeep among others.
