Campaigning for INlD-SAD for the Haryana polls, SAD president and Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal on Monday took on the Congress for not fulfilling its promises, maintaining that Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and INlD supremo Om Parkash Chautala had “always fulfilled their promises”.
He said that the Congress, on the other hand, “always eliminated the poor after gaining their votes on the promise of poverty eradication.”
“People of Haryana are confident that Chautala would fulfil all promises made in INlD’s manifesto as they are still enjoying schemes and policies initiated by Chaudhary Devi lal and Om Parkash Chautala governments,” said Sukhbir while addressing a rally in favour of SAD-INlD alliance candidate Balkaur Singh Kalanwali.
lashing out at Haryana Government for ignoring State’s overall development, Sukhbir said that for Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Haryana started and ended in Rohtak alone. “Congress Government has created a development gap between few cities and rest of Haryana,” he said.
He blamed Congress leadership for lacking decision power, and their inability to even “breathe without prior permission from the Gandhi family”.
“Their this attitude resulted in a lack of decision making which has proved dear to the people of Haryana. Chautala need not to take permissions from any boss so he would ensure speedy development of the state,” he said.
Remembering the struggle of Chaudhary Devi lal, he said that he always fought for the cause of people.
