A retired Army officer landed in trouble with his wife lodging a complaint with the police alleging that the former is molesting women working at his office.Neha Garchha alleged that she was married to Captain Sukhbinder Garchha in 2001 in Jamnagar in Gujarat.
“In 2002 after taking voluntary retirement from service Sukhbinder along with me moved to Sambalpur where my father-in-law GS Garchha was working as a managing director of SAIl. But he was suspended from service on the charges of corruption in 2002 too. Following it, the father-son duo started a mining business in Sambalpur,” said Neha.
At the office, Sukhbinder molested his female office staffs and video-graphed the acts by installing CCTV cameras. He too kept the CDs with him. “When I came to know about the matter, I protested. But he started torturing me, following which I lodged a complaint at the Mahila police station in Sambalpur with the CD in the first week of January. But the police are yet to act on the complaint,” alleged Neha, adding that her in-laws too had taken away her eight-year-old son. Meanwhile, Sambalpur SP Pratik Mohanty said legal action would be taken against the accused.
