As expected, three BJD rebel candidates Anjali Behera (Hindol)’ Kusa Apat (Champua) and Raghunandan Das (Ersama-Balikuda) have been expelled from the party.BJD president Naveen Patnaik expelled them for their “anti-party activities”, a BJD release said. All the three BJD leaders have filed their nominations as Independent candidate after they were denied party tickets. They also defied orders from Patnaik to withdraw from the electoral race.
