The process of filing nomination for the election of bar association of Hazaribagh is now over. After the expiry of nomination time it is clear now that this time the bar association will get a new face on the post of president. Five nominations have been filed for the post of president in which the name of outgoing president Shatrunjay Prasad Singh is not included.
For the post of secretary of bar association outgoing secretary Raj Kumar Raju has again filed the nomination and this time Suman Kumar Singh and Shailendra Kumar Sinha, who have filed their nomination papers for the post of secretary, are going to challenge him. For the posat of president advocate Rajendra Prasad, Jawahar Prasad Sahu, Vikram Sen, Kishori Mohan Verma and Shashi Bhushan Sinha have filed their nomination papers.
For the post of vice president Mithilesh Kumar Sinha alias Manne is once again in the race and this time only one advocate has filed his nomination paper to challenge him. For the post of joint secretary administration Gautam Chakraborty and Vinay Kumar Singh have filed their papers.
Thirty-four nomination papers have been filed for the post of executive body members. For the posts of treasurer, assistant treasurer and library in-charge members have filed their nomination papers. Election officer Pranav Kumar and Phani Yadav said that on 28th he would scrutinise the papers and till 5 pm names can be withdrawn so that final list can be published on March 1. Candidates have already started campaigning and with the issue of final list of candidates the pace will change and till 8th night the bar of Hazaribagh will experience high election fever. Voting and results are scheduled to be held on March 10.
