Adviser to Chief Minister Harish Rawat and MlA from Pauri constituency, Sunder lal Mandrawal said that the Chief Minister has sanctioned four drinking water pumping schemes for Pauri constituency while monitoring the Pauri constituency development work. Chief Minister sanctioned Kola-Patal scheme, Chinwari-Dada scheme, Sabdarkhal- Kadekhal scheme and Ghurdore- Bilkedar scheme, all in Pauri constituency.
The Chief Minister has also instructed the department concerned to take immediate action on these schemes. No negligence will be brooked as the CM said he would take a serious view of the matter, added Mandrawal.
The people of Pauri are concerned over the absence of garbage and waste product disposal system in the district headquarters. They keep on demanding immediate installation of such things.
The Pauri MlA said he had taken up the matter with the Chief Minister. “I told him that there is no scheme of municipal solid waste management in the regional headquarters Pauri due to which garbage and waste products are being scattered hither and thither along Pauri town and its adjoining areas,” he said.
The National Green Tribunal New Delhi has given strict direction for the disposal of garbage and waste products according the MSW provision. The Urban Development Directorate has requested the Project Director ADB / UUSDIP, Dehradun to sanction the scheme with the financial green signals.
At this, the Chief Minister sanctioned Rs 7.63 crore to solve the problem of garbage disposal under the Urban Development ADB/ UUSDIP scheme. It is pertinent to mention that on the initiative of Pauri MlA Mandrawal, the Chief Minister has stopped the shifting of camp office of Rural Development Directorate from Pauri to Dehradun.
